MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
Services and supports are made available with the help of public funding to people in Iowa with mental retardation, developmental disabilities, brain injury, and mental illness.
The Central Point of Coordination, or CPC, is the administrative “gatekeeper” for service requests. All service requests must go through the CPC and must be approved for funding.
In order to receive funding, you must meet the following criteria:
• You must be in financial need
• You must have a covered diagnosis
• You must apply
• Legal settlement must be determined to decide responsibility for payment
